green company

           

I was reading House and garden magazine today and found a great "green" company.  Mio 

 Co-owned by brothers, Mio promotes a green lifestyle and sells products that are made from recycled materials.  I was drawn to these great floor screens.  Made of recycled cardboard, these boards can create fantastic room dividers without wasting massive amounts of  material or energy.  No tools are necessary, just assemble.

I just found the best book at Barnes and Nobles yesterday... Wreck this Journal by Keri Smith.

I'm not sure why I have never seen this...but if you are a craftster who likes to keep the creative juices flowing... check it out.

Each page has a different fun little task, such as... "lick the page after sucking on a colorful candy" , "make a picture with a coffee spill", or my favorite "tear out the page, put it in your pocket, wash your pants, and then put the paper back into the journal".

just curious...

I've been going through some moods lately and been kind of in a rut. (maybe it's the holiday hours of the retail world), who knows?


But... I went home last night, listened to some music, AND NOW MY HEAD IS CLEAR. I'm wondering if anyone has a specific musical group or singer that will automatically change their mood.


Anyone who knows me, knows that my savior group is INCUBUS. Thank goodness they put out albums on a regular basis , because their music has gotten me through a lot. And for some reason, their lyrics always seem to pertain to what I'm going through.


Not only am I inspired by Brandon Boyd's (lead singer) lyrics, he also has amazing artistic talent.





Does anyone else have an "IT GROUP"? I'm curious.

Yeah...Baltimore's first snowfall of the year. Although I had to work all day, I took a few chances to sneak outside of frolic in the flurries.

Luckily it was still snowing when I left work, I'm cozy in my slippers under my comforter. Check out these pics from my bedroom window. Ahh...so peaceful!

I've been thinking long and hard about this, here it goes...
Five interesting facts about me (eliza kate)

1. I refuse to chew blue gum, or anything wintergreen/winterfresh. My stomach turns even if I smell it.
2. I could go months without watching tv, but couldn't go a day without music. It's sort of my therapy.
3. Although nothing makes me feel better than a hot pair of heels...I would prefer to go barefoot 24 hours a day.
4. I feel most at peace while hiking.
5. I can't stand writing the number 5.

Bonus... 6. I would quit my job today a travel the world for a year, if I only had the $$$. One day it will happen!

bonus #2... 7. I have a phobia of shopping malls...it's no joke, panic attacks and all.

just a few things i found for any nature loving house... these bowls are by a group of women artists from canada- loyalloot. I absolutely love them and I want to get them for everyone I know. You have got to love a group full of women working together on art!!! Yeah!!!
