music makes the world go round

Many know that I'm a music lover... call it an obsession if you will.  There are song lyrics for every occasion.  I'm not going to lie; I spent a lot of time dancing around my house with the stereo cranked up.  I would love to have these lyric prints (from the Soma gallery) in any room of the house.  Songs included are:  Amy Winehouse's - Rehab, Marvin Gaye's - What's Going On?, and Jay-Z's  I just wanna love you.

happy birthday!

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to my good friend Liz Mathews (March 2oth).  Check out her work on etsy.  Liz creates beautiful jewelry out of patterned lucite set into sterling silver.  All cheers for Liz today... Hooray!

sneak peak

I wanted to give a sneak peak of a new series of rings I'm working on.  Here's the first one.  I'm really excited to see the results of the rest.  Hope you enjoy!!!!!

fierce

Yeah!!!  Christian wins Project Runway.  I've been rooting for the fellow Annapolis, Maryland native all season and now he's the winner.  His hilarious one-liners have kept me laughing to the point of almost crying.  In his own words... "he's fierce!".  I can't wait to see what comes next on his journey.

oogling and googling

I have been drooling over ENINAJ for the past few weeks.  ENINAJ is run by Janine Golbert in Israel.  Janine has a background in graphic and interior design, but also creates wonderful accessories.  Her scarves are hip and playful (I just placed my order for this circle scarf).
The jewelry consists of a great combination of laser cut leather and silver accents.  I check her etsy site at least once a week to see if she has any new designs.

eco-friendly handbags

I've been looking for a new everyday, sturdy handbag, but I don't want to purchase anymore leather bags.  After reading this month's Natural Health magazine, I found two totally hip "eco-friendly" bag designers.

Matt and Nat is "a brand that invokes our own human experiences and the environment that surrounds us.  In short, a brand that combines the spiritual and the material."  It is a brand that is committed to vegetarianism and there are NO animal by-products used.

Heather Heron designs are all made from organic hemp and natural dyes.  Although, some of her bags do include leather, she finds the most sustainably produced products.

brooklyn industries

One of my favorite New York based companies, Brooklyn Industries, has come out with new handbags and totes for 2008.  I've already placed my order for this one.  Also, check out their hip clothes for ladies and men.
