Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year.  Gathering with friends and family, eating warm comforting food, walking in the crisp fall air... what more could you ask for?  Cheers to everyone having a relaxing day!

All I can see

Is Sunday the end of one week?  Or the beginning of the next?
Either way, it seems to be the day I do most of my thinking (you know, about the important stuff).
All day, I haven't been able to get these lyrics out of my head...

I want to walk through this doorway
I want to open my mind
I want to pledge my allegiance to all I can find.
I want a car that will crash through the barriers
to a road no one knows.
I want to feel less control,
want to bend and I want to land far from home.

I want to learn a completely new language,
one that I don't understand.
I want to help someone lost, someone helpless,
with the strength of my hand.
I want to come to the base of a statue built
before they counted the years,
and there I'll fall with my face in my hands and cry
and feel their hope in my tears.

Those who journey can easily understand,
the more they see the more they'll learn,
the more that they will be.
So this I swear to you, this I swear to me,
I'll never rest until I've seen all I can see.

heads or tails?

Ooh... Ahh!
I can not stop gushing over these enormous coin earrings from the Zac Posen runway.

work in progress

I had a pretty productive day in the studio today.  A few new cluster rings on the way, as well as a couple of pierced branch rings.
A couple of months ago, my good friend Laurel and I started renting a new studio together.  It's still a work in progress, but it's coming along.
The best part is the chandelier in the middle of the room.  (Because we're classy girls!)

lazy sunday

This image epitomizes what I would consider a perfect lazy Sunday.
A cup of tea, chapstick, incense, a good book, and a comfy chair.

one tree, two tree

I'm starting to get the holiday itch.  I love this time of year... and I'm also loving these decorative trees.  They are festive for the holidays but not obnoxiously glitzy.

Happy Weekend!  I have to work today... sigh.
But I wish I was hanging out with my friends today at Holiday Heap.  Good Luck girls.

did anyone lose an earring?

This gold, pearl, and emerald earring was recently found in a destroyed Byzantine structure under a parking lot in Jerusalem.  It is believed to be dated back 2,000 years to the Roman period just after Jesus.

AMAZING!!!

subject vs. object

I know these images have been floating around here and there, but I'm in love with Levi van Veluw's self-portraits.

"The image contains the history of a short creative process, with the artist shifting between the entities of subject and object."

out with the old, in with the new

Lots of new designs are being produced in the 12 linden studio this winter, so I've decided to put most of the old designs on SALE at my etsy site.

Go check them out!

new management

I thought I was finished with the political posts, since the election was a week ago.  But, I just love this tee shirt by print liberation.
