HOLY hosiery!

Patterns, patterns, and some more patterns.  Hosiery from Eley Kishimoto's 2009 spring ready-to-wear collection.  Look how each pair matches the outfit perfectly.  Hmm... could I pull this off???  Probably not.

in honor of the debates

I promise not to go into some political rant, but I found this post fitting for the first night of the presidential debates.

My little public service announcement:  No matter which candidate you agree with, I believe it is important to get your butt to the polls in November and cast your VOTE.

you think our spiders are big in baltimore...

A group of French engineers, called La Machine, created this AMAZING mechanical spider.
Apparently it's been hanging out in Liverpool. Is there anyway to get this to the USA, I would totally travel to see it.

Check out how many people came out to see it.

Renew

Thanks go out to Loyola College's Renew program for using one of my necklaces as a fundraiser for their organization.

***Renew is dedicated to providing wellness programs to Baltimore residents employed in emotionally draining, stressful occupations.  "Wellness days" will give these inspirational people a chance to take a small break from their jobs, to reflect with their peers and to rejuvenate the mind, body and spirit.***

If you are interested in supporting this organization, you can purchase this necklace at my etsy site.

haha... who will be my first victim?

Every wish you could say what you were REALLY thinking?  I love these little cards, they are hilarious.  I'm already thinking about a few desks at work that may find one of these little monsters.

Also, just as funny...

Just a small hint for those not so good drivers.

Natasha Wozniak

Brocade Oval Pendant by Natasha Wozniak.
Absolutely beautiful!

just a little treat for me!

I've been in the mood to treat myself to something new, but I'm kind of on a budget. So, I was beside myself when I found this glass ring and stack of wooden bangles for a total of $7. That's right... only $7 (for both of them).

You will never guess where I found them!
Did you guess?
Do you give up???

Ok, I'll share my secret.
Answer: Pier 1 Imports

I know. Who knew they had little jewelry trinkets?

Sunny Sunday

We are having GORGEOUS weather in good old Baltimore.  So I started off my Sunday with a stroll down to the water front to get an iced coffee.  There was lots of action on the boating docks.  I would have loved to be on the water all day, but there was way too much work waiting for me in the studio.

I spent most of the day looking like this...
it's cute isn't it???

Look at all the work I got done.  The order's almost ready to be shipped out.  YEAH!!

Where's Waldo?

I used to spend hours searching through books trying to find Waldo.  Who knew he'd be at Fashion Week sitting next to Jessica Szohr from Gossip Girls?

Koons ruffles feathers at Versailles

Jeff Koons seems to be ruffling a few feathers across the ocean in France.  This month debuts his work at the Versailles Palace.  His large shiny pop art sculptures are causing a raucous among a few French conservatives who say Koons work is insulting towards the iconic French art found at Versailles.

I always enjoy a few feathers in the air.

*Side note- Last year, Koons' "Hanging Heart" sold for $23.4 million dollars, which the most for any living artist*
